Well in years past, gas has not been a problem for us here in the Alvin area for quite some time until, that is, we saw the gas prices skyrocketing like crazy! So it seems that gas has a new priortity in my life now. Even though I'm still a junior in high school (and not driving yet!), gas prices have affected us as well. So far the town has either ignored the problem or has tried to downplay the problem. Like you can ignore $6.14 a gallon! Local Newspapers, even my school newspaper has refused to run my news story( P.S im the editor of the School newspaper) just because the topic is sensetive! I know several people throughout our town who are suffering because they have to travel to work to Houston, Texas. It practically cost them like $20 to get there! So it seems that I am the first of my town to report this atrocity and meyhem. Maybe I'm one of the sheep that has wondered off from the rest of the flock and is watching all of them fall off the cliff. I will post more updates as I experience them.
